Flood Watch issued June 9 at 1:05AM CDT until June 9 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following areas, Edwards, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jefferson, Johnson, Perry IL, Pope, Saline, Wabash, Wayne IL, White and Williamson, southwest Indiana, including the following areas, Gibson, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick, and western Kentucky, including the following areas, Caldwell, Calloway, Christian, Crittenden, Daviess, Henderson, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McLean, Muhlenberg, Todd, Trigg, Union KY and Webster. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow moving storms capable of intense rainfall rates could lead to isolated areas of Flash Flooding today. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Flood Advisory issued June 9 at 8:38AM CDT until June 9 at 11:45AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Indiana, including the following counties, Gibson, Spencer and Warrick. * WHEN...Until 1145 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 838 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Boonville, Fort Branch, Dale, Haubstadt, Lynnville, Folsomville, Santa Claus, Elberfeld, Tennyson, Gentryville and Mackey. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
