Flood Advisory issued June 18 at 4:34PM HST until June 18 at 7:30PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall. * WHERE...The island of Kauai in Kauai County. * WHEN...Until 730 PM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 431 PM HST, emergency management reported heavy rain producing ponding over Kuhio Highway near Haena. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Princeville, Kilauea, Wainiha, Haena, Alakai Swamp Trails, Hanalei, Na Pali State Park, Kokee State Park and Kalihiwai. Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding.
