Northern Wayne County in western West Virginia... * Until 400 PM EDT. * At 1253 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Huntington, Wayne, Hamlin, Beech Fork State Park, Cannonsburg, Barboursville, Kenova, Catlettsburg, Ceredo, Centerville, Burnaugh, Durbin, Princess, South Point, Burlington, West Hamlin, Lavalette, Lockwood, Salt Rock and Branchland. This includes the following highways... Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 1 and 11. Interstate 64 in Kentucky between mile markers 182 and 191.
