Hancock County in southern Mississippi... Harrison County in southern Mississippi... Southeastern Pearl River County in southern Mississippi... * WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 636 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding continues in portions of the warned area. Between 8 and 16 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Slidell, Picayune, Bay St. Louis, Waveland, Diamondhead, Eden Isle, Pearl River, Kiln, Stennis Space Center, Shoreline Park, Mcneil, Pearlington, Lyman, Saucier and Slidell Airport. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with locally very heavy rainfall are expected today and potentially continuing through tonight.
