Flood Advisory issued April 29 at 3:20AM CDT until April 29 at 10:15AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central Missouri, including the following counties, Audrain, Callaway and Cole. * WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 318 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. - The heavy rainfall has ended, however it will likely take small streams and creeks several hours to recede. Continue to obey all road closure signs and do not drive into areas where water covers the roadway. Be especially cautious of low water crossings as the road may have been washed out under the water. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jefferson City, Fulton, Mexico, Vandalia, Holts Summit, Wardsville, St. Martins, Auxvasse, Taos, Russellville, New Bloomfield, Laddonia, Lake Mykee Town, Farber, Martinsburg, Centertown, St. Thomas, Lake Mykee, Williamsburg and Shamrock. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
