Flood Watch issued May 19 at 10:59AM MDT until May 24 at 12:00PM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT * WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible. * WHERE...A portion of central Montana, including the following area, Little Belt and Highwood Mountains. * WHEN...From Wednesday evening through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rain, heavy at times, is possible Wednesday into Thursday. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Snow is possible for elevations above 7000 feet. This amount of rainfall, combined with currently saturated ground conditions, could result in flooding of creeks and steams in the Monarch and Neihart areas. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Special Weather Statement issued May 19 at 2:05PM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT At 205 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Black Eagle to 10 miles west of Highwood. Movement was southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Great Falls, Belt, Black Eagle, Highwood, Shonkin, Armington, Malmstrom Afb, Eden, Sand Coulee, Stockett, Tracy, and Centerville. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
