Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to expand in coverage today and persist through tonight. While a pause in rainfall may occur today or tonight, an additional period of steady rainfall is expected for much of the day on Thursday in advance of Tropical Storm Helene and its associated rainfall late Thursday through Friday morning.
